2013 Kia Optima
The 2013 Kia Optima is a midsize five-passenger sedan and it is one of the most competitive family sedan. The 2013 Optima competes with cars like Ford Fusion, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. A SX Limited luxury trim level is new for 2013.
The 2013 Kia Optima is available in four trim levels: LX (at $21,200 MSRP), EX (starting at $23,500), SX (from $ 26,800 MSRP) and SX Limited (at $ 35,275).
The 2013 Kia Optima LX comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, foglamps, air-conditioning, cruise control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player and an iPod/USB audio interface. The EX adds an eight-way power driver seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, 17-inch wheels, keyless ignition, leather upholstery and leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter.
The SX adds 18-inch wheels, a turbocharged engine, a sport-tuned suspension, auto-leveling xenon headlights and steering-wheel-mounted transmission paddle shifters.
The Technology package is available for all trims and adds a navigation system, a touchscreen interface and a rearview camera. The Premium Touring package includes a panoramic sunroof, power-folding mirrors, driver memory functions, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and heated steering wheel. All items of Premium package come standard on the SX Limited model. SX Limited also adds 18-inch chrome wheels, LED running lamps and upgraded leather upholstery.
All models of 2013 Kia Optima are front-wheel drive. The 2013 Kia Optima LX and EX come with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 200 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard on the LX. A six-speed automatic transmission is optional on the LX and standard on the EX.
The SX and SXL trims come with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 274 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard.
Standard safety features of the 2013 Kia Optima include four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, stability control, side airbags, side curtain airbags and more.
