The main rivals of 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser are Land Rover Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz GL 550, Lexus LX570 and Audi Q7.

The 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser comes with a 5.7-liter V8 DOHC engine that produces 381 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 401 lb-ft of torque at 3600 rpm. Ninety percent of peak torque is available at just 2,200 rpm. A 6-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel-drive system are standard. The transmission is designed to handle high torque while performing with luxurious smoothness. Fourth gear is direct drive, and both fifth and sixth gears are overdrive ratios. The transmission’s control unit estimates road conditions to select the appropriate gear ratio for the vehicle’s speed and driving conditions. A sequential shift mode also allows the driver to select gears manually.
