2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed
The new 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed will be unveiled this week at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom. The flagship performance model of Bentley, the Continental GT Speed is based on the latest version of the model, which has received a more powerful engine and a lower and stiffer suspension. The 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed has also the modified steering settings and the chassis, compared to other Continental models. The distinctive design details of the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed include 21-inch unique Speed wheels, lower air intakes, dark-tinted matrix grille, and inside, the premium Mulliner Driving Specification trim as standard.
Like other Continental GTs, the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed features a permanent all-wheel-drive system with a Torsen center differential. The new close-ratio ZF eight-speed automatic transmission improves acceleration and fuel economy. “The new GT Speed, with its harder-edged, sportier character, reaffirms this pinnacle positioning and continues to broaden the worldwide appeal of the Continental coupe” said Wolfgang Dürheimer, Bentley’s chief executive.
The 2013 Bentley Continental GT has under the hood a huge twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W-12 engine that produces 616 hp and a 590 lb-ft of torque. With a top speed of 250 mph, the new 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed accelerates from 0 to 60mph in 4.0 seconds.
Pricing for the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed will be announced later this year, but is expected to be over the price of the previous model ($213,995).
