2014 Cadillac Escalade
The full-size 2014 Cadillac Escalade SUV is a comfortable, strong and stylish car that comes with a powerful V8 engine and with a cabin that’s constructed with high-quality materials. The 2014 Cadillac Escalade is available in four trim levels (base, Luxury, Premium and Platinum) and comes standard with seating for seven. A second-row bench that bumps capacity to eight passengers is available for the Platinum model. The Escalade Hybrid and the extended-length Escalade ESV are considered distinct models.
The 2014 Cadillac Escalade base comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic xenon headlights, foglights, an adaptive suspension, a locking rear differential, heated power-folding mirrors, rear parking sensors, power liftgate and towing hardware. The standard equipment also contains tri-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated power front seats, leather upholstery, a power tilt-only steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, remote ignition and power-adjustable pedals. A rearview camera, a touchscreen navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity and a 10-speaker Bose surround-sound audio system are all standard too.
2014 Jaguar XFR-S
The 2014 XFR-S is a new high-performance sports trim level of the Jaguar XF. With stylish and well-crafted interior, sporty handling, comfortable and refined ride, and a powerful V8 engine, the 2014 Jaguar XFR-S is an exclusivist model at $99,900 MSRP and with just 100 examples that will be sold in U.S. in 2014. The 2014 Jaguar XFR-S competes with BMW M5, Audi RS 6, Cadillac CTS-V and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.
The Jaguar XFR-S is a midsize sports sedan that has an attractive design and comes with a wild body kit with oversized central and side air intakes, extended side sills and a rear diffuser constructed from carbon fiber. The interior comes with high-quality materials, dark aluminum trim, carbon leather upholstery with an R-S logo embassed on the seats. Standard features include heated and ventilated sports seat, perforated leather, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a sunroof, adaptive headlights with automatic high beams and 16-way adjustable driver seat.
A blind-spot monitoring system, a touchscreen navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity and front/rear parking sensors are also standard. The XFR-S comes also with an 825-watt, 17-speaker Meridian surround-sound system with 30GB of music storage space as standard.
2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe
The new 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe has been revealed today and will go on sale this fall, after its debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show.
Replacing the CL63 AMG, the new 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe comes with a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that is tuned to produce 577 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque (a 40hp increase over the CL63) an it pushes the car to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds. This engine is paired with a 7-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission with Sport, Manual and Controlled Efficiency modes. The new S63 AMG Coupe has also a performance-oriented AMG 4Matic all-wheel drive (33/67% split) that will come standard in the U.S. market.
Like all AMG V8 and V12 engines, the engine for the S63 AMG Coupe is assembled by hand at the AMG engine shop in Affalterbach, according to the strictest quality standards based on the “one man, one engine” philosophy. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe features also the full air-suspension system Airmatic, with the adaptive damping system ADS Plus. 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback
The 2014 Lancer Sportback is a five-seat sporty hatchback, a version of the popular Mitsubishi Lancer compact sedan. The Lancer Sportback is almost identical with the Lancer sedan, but has a smaller cargo space and it looks more dynamic thanks to its spoiler-topped tail. The 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback competes with the Mazda3, Ford Focus, Subaru Impreza and Kia Forte.
The Lancer Sportback has a muscular exterior styling and a clean interior, with comfortable seats and simple instrumentation. Rear-seat space is adequate, relative to other cars of this size. The cargo space is decent for its class, at 52.7 cubic feet with the rear seats down.
The 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback is offered in two trim levels: ES and GT. The Sportback base ES model comes standard with 16-inch steel wheels, air-conditioning, a rear spoiler, automatic headlights, a height-adjustable driver seat, a trip computer, full power accessories and an 140-watt four-speaker audio system with a CD player. The Deluxe package is available for the ES and adds keyless ignition, keyless entry, a power glass sunroof, leather-wrapped steering wheel, a color multi-infornation display, Bluetooth connectivity, a 6-speaker sound system and 16-inch alloy wheels.
